Which Samsung refrigerator uses the DA29-00020B?

Samsung Refrigerator Models which require a thin, internally located filter such as the DA-97-08006A-B, and HAF-CIN/EXP for French door and side-by-side refrigerators. The Samsung Filter is situated right in between the crisper drawers for a French door fridge, or at the bottom right hand corner for a side-by-side fridge. These filters are simple and easy to remove and replace.

How long should my Samsung Fridge Filter last?

Refrigerator manufacturers strongly recommend that fridge water filters are replaced every six months, or as soon as the ‘change filter’ light appears either on the front display panel or near the filter cartridge casing in your refrigerator. However, if you notice that the clarity or the taste of your water has changed, this is an indication that it is time for a new water filter. Replacing your water filter when this occurs ensures that your water remains fresh and that the ice and water mechanisms in your fridge are protected from any corrosion.

INSTALLATION

1. To begin, open both doors. 
2. Locate the filter between the two crisper drawers, and grab hold of the knob on the end of the filter. 
3. Turn the knob to the left. You may get a little bit of resistance. Keep pushing until it releases, then pull out the filter. 
4. Discard the old filter. 
5. To install the new filter, take off the cap and ensure the two O-rings are intact. 
6. Insert the filter in between the crisper drawers and turn to the right until you hear and feel it click into place.

Resetting the ‘change filter’ light:

To reset the ‘change filter’ light setting, press and hold the Ice Type (or Moisture Control) and Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The light should turn green. (On some newer fridges, press the Power Freeze and Ice Type buttons together.) NOTE: If you hold these buttons for too long, you will cancel the reset process. You will need to start again by releasing the buttons and pressing them again.
